We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor
Following a successful bid to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and with support from other grant funders and donors, the Egypt Exploration Society is transforming its premises in Bloomsbury into an accessible, sustainable, and innovative heritage centre as part of our Building the Future campaign. We anticipate the building works to begin in early 2027 and be completed in 2028, after which activity programmes supported by the Heritage Fund will continue to run into 2030. The plans for the redevelopment received approval from Camden Council on 20th March 2024. See planning application 2023/2928/P available here: https://accountforms.camden.gov.uk/planning-search/.
The Society is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of our capital works, which will be delivered in two phases (Enabling Works, and the Main Works). The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with our appointed Project Manager (Chana Projects), Architect (Studio Becoming), and with the Society’s Development Manager, though they may work with other members of staff and appointed contractors where necessary or appropriate.
