Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church (Abu Serga)

Explore some of Egypt's most unique heritage sites from the comfort of your home.

The Church of Martyrs Sergius and Bacchus in The Cave is one of the oldest Coptic churches in Egypt and dates back to the 4th century. It is believed that the church is built on the spot where the Holy Family rested at the end of their journey into Egypt. The spot where they are said to have rested is in the crypt, 10m below the current floor level and visible in this 3D virtual tour.
