The remains of Zawyet Sultan shed light on the history of a Middle Egyptian town from prehistory up to the present day. The survey project explores the archaeological context of the small pyramid at the site to understand how royal representation was embedded in the settlement. The results will feed into an integrated study of local life over the past five thousand years.
