Petrie and Brunton discovered large quantities of fossils in burial shafts during excavations at Qau el-Kebir, Middle Egypt, 1923-1925. Our scientific study of this collection, held at the Natural History Museum, aims to guide our understanding of the role fossils had in this cemetery and possible links to Seth worship.
