Dr Alice Stevenson is a Senior Lecturer in Museum Studies at UCL’s Institute of Archaeology. She has previously held posts as the Curator of the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology (2012–16), as a Researcher in World Archaeology at the University of Oxford's Pitt Rivers Museum (2009–12) and as a member of the EES office staff (2007–08). She has written extensively on topics in Predynastic and Early Dynastic Egypt, as well as on the history of collections and museums. She is currently leading the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) project ‘Artefacts of Excavation’ which is examining the history of exported archaeological finds from British excavations in Egypt to museums worldwide.
