The first five...

1-1.30pm (UK) / 2-2.30pm (Egypt) | This lecture will be recorded, register to be sent a video link

This year, the Egypt Exploration Society is raising funds to produce ‘Ancient Egypt in 50 Discoveries’, a book that will explore Egypt’s past through artefacts, people, and places connected to the history of the EES.

Thanks to generous donations by our supporters, we have already raised more than a third of the target required! Thank you to all those who have contributed so far. Those giving £500 or more will also be named in the book and receive a copy when it is printed in 2024.

Support our appeal

This event brings together the two editors of the volume, Dr Stephanie Boonstra and Dr Campbell Price, in conversation to discuss five artefacts from the book. Entries have been submitted by experts from across the world including ten Egyptian scholars that attended our Egyptological Archives Skills School in 2022. We’re delighted to be able to provide this platform for their research and offer new angles on the history of ancient Egypt.

Join us for this special fundraising event (attending live is completely FREE!) and help to support the production of this book by sharing notices on social media using #AE50EES.
