The history and culture of ancient Egypt have been rifled by filmmakers for inspiration since the dawn of cinema with varying degrees of authenticity and, indeed, intent. This heavily illustrated online lecture will concentrate on the ways in which Egyptian art has been incorporated into seven specific narratives, drawn from five decades of film and television production.
