The Levantine Foundation is proud to announce its fourth Training Programme in Museology and Paper Conservation to be held online over eight days between 23 November and 2 December 2020.

Delivered in partnership with The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and The Egypt Exploration Society, it is the latest in a continuing series of training courses for professionals from leading museums, libraries, universities, and monastic collections in Egypt.

Founded in 2002, The Levantine Foundation works to preserve Egyptian and Near Eastern historical documents on paper and parchment, and to disseminate their hugely important cultural content to a broader public. Since its inception, The Foundation has been cataloguing and preserving the unique collection of codices and manuscripts from the Library of Egypt’s Deir al-Surian Monastery.

This year, for the first time ever, internationally recognised tutors will deliver the training programme online. The programme will be of particular interest to the students and faculty members of universities, museums and similarly recognised learned institutions. All sessions will be delivered in English.
