Exploring the place and practice of magic and medicine in pharaonic Egypt, this lecture will focus on both the texts and objects that remain to us, as well as looking at the practitioners and their status in Egyptian society. There is no requirement to read Middle or Late Egyptian, although we will look at some texts in transliteration and translation.
