The Graeco-Roman Memoirs
The Graeco-Roman Memoirs (GRM) are mostly concerned with the publication of the Greek papyri found by Grenfell and Hunt at Oxyrhynchus, but also cover other papyri and Graeco-Roman material held by the Society. The volumes are published to an annual schedule. For further information on the Society’s collection, go to The Oxyrhynchus Papyri.
Most recently we have published GRM 101, which contains texts studied by the “New Medical Papyri from Oxyrhynchus” Project, funded by the Wellcome Trust. They include known medical texts by Hippocrates, Dioscorides and Galen, but also new material from the 1st to 3rd/4th centuries on acute diseases, medical recipes, surgical texts, and doctors' reports.
There are two ways to acquire the Graeco-Roman Memoirs:
1. By annual subscription: subscribers take out annual membership with the Society and include the GRM as an 'add-on' to their main subscription. As a Member you will receive the volume due for that year at a substantial discount as a reward for pre-payment. The Society and UK subscribers can also benefit from Gift Aid.
2. By standing orders or single purchases: please visit our Online Shop.
