The Graeco-Roman Memoirs
The Graeco-Roman Memoirs are mostly concerned with the publication of the Greek papyri found by Grenfell and Hunt at Oxyrhynchus, but also cover other papyri and Graeco-Roman material held by the Society. The volumes are published to an annual schedule. For further information on the Society’s collection, go to The Oxyrhynchus Papyri.
There are two ways to acquire the Graeco-Roman Memoirs:
1. By annual subscription: subscribers take out annual membership of the Society in the package which includes the GRM due for that year at a substantial discount as a reward for pre-payment. The Society and UK subscribers can benefit from GiftAid.
Note on current backlog: For a number of years there has been a delay of several years in the production of Oxyrhynchus volumes. Because preparation has unavoidably bunched, three volumes are due to be published this subscription year: GRM 94 (P.Oxy. 73, the subscription volume for 2006/07) was published in June 2009, GRM 95 (P.Oxy. 74, the volume for 2007/08) in Autumn 2009, and GRM 96 (P.Oxy. 75, the volume for 2008/09) by December 2009. Subscribers for 2009/10 should receive GRM 97 (P.Oxy. 76) in 2010 towards the end of the subscription year.
2. By standing or occasional order from Oxbow Books/The David Brown Book Company, whose site lists all available volumes.
Please note that the Oxbow site does not show the 15% discount for Society members, available on the full price only (i.e. not in addition to any other reduction). Members should state their membership number when ordering and calculate the discount themselves. To check your membership number please contact the London Office.
One volume of the GRM is included in the Society's 2009 Summer Sale: Bowman, Coles, Obbink, Gonis and Parsons (eds), Oxyrhynchus. A City and its Texts. ISBN 978 0 85698 177 7. Price £65 (EES members price £55). 2009 summer sale price: £30
