Updates from the Survey of Memphis team
During September 2009 Survey of Memphis team member Tina Paphitis will be posting regular updates from the project's field season. The updates will appear here: http://twitter.com/SurveyofMemphis.

The team will be conducting a short season of sediment cores at Kom Rabia to explore the presence of a sand formation (‘turtleback’) beneath the site of dynastic Memphis, suggested by the earlier cores recorded there as part of the Survey’s work. They also hope to be able to add survey points on the Saqqara plateau to aid the recording of current excavations there.
